I say this all the time, but "time seems to be flying by faster and faster" I can remember back when I was in school that a day felt more like a week, a month seemed more like a year and a year seems more like a lifetime. I know that many say that once you have children, it just takes a blink and they are grown, but how? Time is the same, a second is a second, you put sixty of them together and you get a minute and you put sixty minutes together and get an hour. This doesn't change ever... unless your watching a movie or your Santa Claus! So then, why does it feel like when we are young that those seconds, minutes and hours drag? Or when we have an infant and aren't getting sleep at night that if feels like morning will never come? Move to the now I blinked, my baby will graduate college in less than four months and my grandson, Landen, turned 5 yesterday.
I sit and look at old photo albums and I have yet to accept the change to use the new Facebook Timeline, however, I did scan back through the 4 1/2 years worth of pictures and posts and I'm scratching my head, was it really that long ago I joined Facebook? I have so many memories, but I have difficulty grasping the fact that some of those things happened twenty years ago. I then ask myself when I look in the mirror "when did I get old?" and I can only reply, "it must have been when I blinked"
We had a small family birthday party for Landen - since his real party won't be for a couple of weeks...
Landen Quote - "Yummy yummy frosting makes me bouncy off the wallies all nighter, yep, yep, yeppers"
he like adding er's to words these day's - he now is calling me Niner - and will tell you that it rhymes with wiener!!!
